Four Colleges that Accept and Give Financial Aid to Undocumented Students

As an undocumented student, you might not have the same choices as students who are eligible for federal financial aid.  But there are plenty of colleges that admit and give financial aid to students like you!  Here are four great colleges that admit and give financial aid to undocumented students.

1) Hampshire College

Hampshire is a small, private liberal arts college in Amherst, MA. It is know for a progressive curriculum that requires students to design their own majors and allows students to engage in project-based learning.  Hampshire admits and offers financial aid to undocumented students, including one full scholarship for an undocumented student each four years.

2) Whitman College
Whitman is a small liberal arts college of about 1500 students in Walla Walla, Washington.  Whitman offers 45 majors and also a number of 3-2 programs with schools like Duke, Caltech, and Columbia.  Whitman admits and provides financial aid to undocumented students.

3) University of Illinois
U. of Illinois is a large public university with three campuses.  The largest of the three, Urbana-Champagne, has 28,000 students.  Undocumented students in Illinois are eligible for in-state tuition. These students are also eligible to receive assistance from the Illinois DREAM Fund, which helps students get financial aid and start a college savings plan.

4) Dominican University (Chicago)
Dominican is a small Catholic college of about 2000 undergraduates located just outside of Chicago.  As part of their Catholic social mission, Dominican admits and provides financial aid to undocumented students.
